Our infant classroom is catered to our youngest students as they learn and grow at their own pace. We follow their individual schedules each day to mirror their home life and provide extra close communication with parents as they adjust to this transition. Our curriculum encourages skills in several areas to support their exponential growth. We are a container-free school where students are held or played with on the floor to increase their developmental and mobility skills. Their highly compassionate teachers will support you and your baby each day.

Nursery School Requirements:
3+ months and able to nap with some light & background noise

Our classroom for young toddlers includes walking infants to 24 months to provide space to grow out of the infancy stage and prepare for a more structured schedule. This class focuses on adjusting to a natural school schedule, fine motor skills, language development, sensory play, introduction to emotions, and gross motor play. We designed the environment for them to access abundant practical life skills as we guide them to instill confidence in their capabilities. Toilet learning is also introduced in this class as they display interest.

Early Playschool Requirements:

Walking, Self-Feeding, & Single Nap Schedule

Our older toddlers are ready for life skills in this classroom of 2-3 year olds with the next level of materials and skill introduction. The focus in this class includes Grace and Courtesy lessons, work rugs with extra pieces, classroom commitments, communication/conflict resolution, and mastering toilet learning. This is a great age for creating the roots of their social-emotional skills and learning boundaries with friends to prep for Early Elementary. Additionally, they are introduced to enjoying our Erdkinder space as they garden and care for our chickens.

Our full-day Early Elementary classes include Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten students from 3 to 4 years old. Students learn to help their peers with tasks that teach patience, tolerance, and empathy, instilling a sense of community. Additionally, connecting with themselves as an individual is introduced, and their social groups begin forming where social and emotional skills are key points in their learning. Beginner field trips within the community are introduced.

2:18 Ratio

Our Upper Early Elementary class includes a community of students from Preschool through 1st grade. Their foundation is key during this stage, and older students become role models to create their village, taking their social skills and individuality to the next level of empathy and mindful growth. Their work follows Reggio ways of documenting through portfolios and involves more project-based learning. More involved field trips are an exciting addition to this class!

Requirement: 

Kindergarten: 5 years old by September 1st

1st Grade: Must attend M-F 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
